Anunciada em março, a parceria da ADIDAS SKATEBOARDING com a BEYOND THE STREETS, finalmente, chegou às mãos de Shepard Fairey, mais conhecido como OBEY.

O trabalho do renomado grafiteiro e artista plástico é celebrado com uma edição limitada do SAMBA ADV, que recebeu um cabedal de couro branco com detalhes dourados e vermelhos. Segundo o próprio Shepard, o SAMBA sempre foi um de seus tênis preferidos – assim como vários outros da ADIDAS, que ele tem calçado com frequência no decorrer das últimas quatro décadas.

Na lojinha que será montada durante a BEYOND THE STREETS, um pack bem exclusivo será vendido junto do tênis, onde estarão inclusos itens ligados ao trabalho e história de OBEY, como um shape de skate customizado, uma lata de spray MONTANA, stencil, adesivos, etc.

Por enquanto, as vendas só serão feitas no BTS Los Angeles, a partir de amanhã, dia 9 de junho. Depois, há boas chances do tênis chegar em outros pontos de venda ao redor do mundo, em uma data a ser divulgada futuramente.

I’ve been rocking adidas for work and play since the 80s. I even have an old pair of adidas covered in paint in my section of @beyondthestreetsart. BEYOND THE STREETS is arguably the most ambitious survey of street art and graffiti ever put together. It’s cool to genuinely work with partners who I support and support me. Thank you @adidasskateboarding, @ogcullen and his team, @rogergastman, @amandabessette, Andrew, @evaseta and the rest of the crew, and everyone who made this project come together. We launched it last night with an intimate party and a great crowd that included a performance by the @silverlake_conservatory of Music Choir, the band Live Wire and had a really excellent vegan dinner by chef Aaron Elliot. The collectible bundle will be sold exclusively at the BTS Gift Shop for $300 USD on scheduled release dates beginning June 9, 2018 and through the duration of the show. A portion of the proceeds will benefit @Homeboyindustries, a non-profit community-based organization that serves high-risk, formerly gang-involved men and women with a continuum of free services and programs.
