A Califórnia se juntou com Tóquio nessa parceria que envolve grandes nomes dos dois locais: VANS, Mr. Cartoon e NEIGHBORHOOD.

Mister Cartoon emprestou seus renomados dotes artísticos para preencher o cabedal e solado do AUTHENTIC e do OLD SKOOL com tipografias e ilustrações que remetem ao universo que ele alimenta há anos, onde a cultura latina, em específico a dos mexicanos e seus descendentes, é tema central.

O AUTHENTIC é onde os desenhos ganham mais destaque, enquanto o OLD SKOOL surge com base preta e diversos bordados cinzas, onde podemos ler “Uncle Toon’s Mart”, “By NEIGHBORHOOD”, Los Angeles e Tokyo.

A dupla já foi lançada em algumas lojas estrangeiras e tem sumido rapidamente de seus prateleiras físicas e digitais. Aqui no Brasil, pelo menos até agora, nem sinal dela.
